A Personal Approach

My passion for a career in bodywork came from a strong desire to help people. My own personal  journey however, led me down the path of specialising in treating chronic pain.

In my early 20’s I worked as a Duty Manager in a sports centre, where the majority of the work was at a computer desk.  I ended up with debilitating RSI pain. I also had recurring back pain from a previous fall. The pain at times effected my entire being, physically and emotionally. I needed help.

Bodywork was my saviour, in particular I received medical massage,  myofascial release and physiotherapy which all helped immensely.  Through receiving bodywork I was able to see the incredible benefits of a variety of techniques for treating chronic pain.

During my 30’s,  particularly after childbirth and during the early child rearing years, I suffered with more chronic pain. My entire body hurt. The pain co-existed with on- going life challenges. The more I had to explore myself, the more I  learnt ways to clear my own pain, and the deeper my work grew.

My exploration showed me that pain can be multifaceted.  Physical, emotional, spiritual, energetic and lifestyle can all play their part. This knowledge led me to investigate Chronic pain at a much deeper level.

My other passion is health and fitness. I worked in the leisure industry for 19 years, gaining  knowledge on lifestyle, various approaches to fitness, training and mental well- being. I am dedicated to my own health and fitness and this approach I feel helps others. My approach to clearing pain from the body includes not just hands on bodywork but looking at the person holistically. I encourage movement and exercise for clearing pain and transforming the body.

I have been a bodyworker for 15 years and during this time have explored many many types of bodywork and other techniques to clear pain from the body. Bodywork is also excellent for supporting you through challenging times and  supporting you in your well-being.

‘Kay has the intuitive skills to guide you to what you need’
Jane, Medical Advisor

My work blends science with intuition.  I pick up messages from your body as soon as you enter the room. I listen to what your body is telling me. I believe your body is like a road map, it can tell you exactly where you need to go.

Teaching you to care for yourself

My aim is to empower clients to treat and manage their own pain condition. The more you can do to help yourself the better. However, everyone is unique and their needs and capabilities are taken into consideration.
